Speech & Language Therapy for Children
I am a Specialist Speech & Language Therapist supporting children and their families in Hampshire. I am also able to offer video consultations remotely. With several years of experience in the NHS and later in Independent Practice too, I have specialised in working with preschool and primary school-aged children. I believe in creating a relaxed, playful environment and motivating children to achieve meaningful outcomes in therapy .
About me
My name is Tellervo Pirinen, Telly for short. I qualified as a Speech & Language Therapist in 2009. I have extensive paediatric experience working with children with a range of communication difficulties in both NHS and Independent practice.
What needs do I work with?
I work with preschool and school-aged children with a range of communication needs. These include: speech sound difficulties including delays, disorders and dyspraxia, developmental language disorder and language delay, dysfluency and selective mutism.
What services are offered?
I offer both face to face and video-based support. I can work with children in their home, nursery or school. Children are often most at ease in these natural environments which can make therapy feel more comfortable.
